The long-term funding agreement for Ontario's horse racing industry was formally announced late last month, and, in turn, Ontario Racing will now be conducting a webinar this Thursday (April 5) to discuss the agreement in more detail.
For more information on the funding announcement, which will run through 2038 and will see up to $105 million a year set aside for the horse racing sector, click here.
Ontario Racing has announced that the webinar is an opportunity for industry participants to hear details of the agreement and to ask related questions.
The webinar is scheduled to take place this Thursday (April 5) from 2-3 p.m. (EST). Industry participants that are interested in taking part in the webinar are asked to register online here. Also, if participants are interested in submitting a question, they can do so here.
After an introduction by Mike Chopowick (the acting executive director of Ontario Racing), Lori Sullivan of Ontario Lottery and Gaming and Bill Ford of Woodbine Entertainment will present an overview of both the funding agreement and the new Ontario Racing, followed by a question and answer period.
