Forced three-wide down the backside, D Mac still had plenty of pop late as he rolled to his fourth straight victory in Wednesday’s $20,000 Winners Over $10,000 Life/Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows.
Away fourth, D Mac moved second over for Mike Wilder, but had to go wider still when his cover stalled. That proved no impediment for the 4-5 favourite, as he blazed home in :27.4 to score in 1:52. Object Of Art was second, one and a quarter length back, while Tuneariffic rallied for show.
Dane Snyder trains D Mac, a four-year-old McArdle-Art Amour gelding who vaulted over $100,000 in career earnings, for Bret Greiner, John Valdisera and Joseph Fortunato.
Elsewhere on the card, another hot horse extended his winning streak. Visible Gold captured his sixth straight in a conditioned pace for Dave Palone, trainer Ron Burke and owners Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi LLC and RTC Stables. During the streak, the five-year-old Bettors Delight-Gabrielle gelding has prevailed by at least two lengths on each occasion.
