Successful Western Canadian trainer/driver Kelly Hoerdt has said, in hindsight, that Alberta horsepeople had it pretty good racing at Stampede Park and Northlands Park

.

"Out of concern for the racing surface at Stampede Park in Calgary, which split racing dates with Northlands Park in Edmonton, it appeared a wise move to bank racing's future on Balzac," Hoerdt was quoted as saying in an article in The Vancouver Province.

"In hindsight, we had a pretty good deal racing with the two tracks. Now I'm sure all of us would love to have that back."
