A Blue Million rallied from seventh with an eighth of a mile to go to win the featured $30,822 Open Handicap Trot on Wednesday, April 29 at Harrington Raceway.

Ever Clever (Pat Berry) led the field through the opening quarter-mile in :27.4 with A Blue Million (Montrell Teague) sitting seventh. Favourite Fruit Snacker (Tony Morgan) was the first to move but made a break, foiling his bid for a fourth straight win and leaving Ever Clever on top to the half in :57 and three-quarters in 1:26. A flurry of horses closed through the stretch, with A Blue Million fanning seven-wide and getting up to score by a neck in 1:56.1. Greenspan (Art Stafford Jr.) held on for second over Arrowhead Hanover (Troy Beyer) in a photo.

A Blue Million, trained by Tim Crissman, is now six-for-11 on the year for owners Stephen Stoll and Nathan Yoder. The five-year-old Swan In A Million-Ipo Blue Chip gelding recorded his 21st career win in 66 starts. He paid $27 to win.

Owner Frank Chick and trainer Jamie Sullivan teamed up for an early double as Kinnder Icecube ($13.60, Jason Green) won the opener and Ready Freddie ($5.20, Tony Morgan) took the fifth race. Green tallied three wins on the 15-race card.

Also on the undercard, David Neilson's Bellsforall ($5.40, Allan Davis) won a $19,863 conditioned trot in 1:57.1 for trainer Erin Neilson.
