Harry Von Knoblauch’s Scootin For Joy notched her fifth win of the year Tuesday in 1:55.1 over a sloppy racetrack in the $17,000 featured Mares Open at Harrington Raceway.
The four-year-old Western Paradise mare, in rein to Ross Wolfenden, utilized her rail post draw to dictate the fractions and cruised to a four-length score over last week’s winner Paradise Lost and My Ideal Hanover.
Trained by Peter Tritton, it was the fifth win in seven starts for Scootin For Joy. She paid $4.00.
Bret Brittingham had five driving wins and is closing in on 2,000 in his career.
Jim Morand, who is closing in on 9,000 lifetime wins, had four winners.
