Certified Ideal pulled the pocket at the half and rolled to a convincing victory in Monday’s $22,500 Filly & Mare Not Listed Preferred/Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows.

Nosed out last week by Do Me Honor, Certified Ideal found herself behind Do Me Honor after the two dueled for the early lead. When Tony Hall moved Certified Ideal, the four-year-old daughter of Western Ideal-Arebas Last blew by Do Me Honor, widened her lead and scored in 1:52.4 on a “good” surface. Do Me Honor was a game second, 2-1/2 lengths back, with Phone Terror third.

Randy Bendis trains Certified Ideal, who extended her career bankroll to $178,392, and owns with Mike Novosel, Jr., Tom Pollack and James Walton.

Dave Palone drove six winners on the 14-race card. He captured the opener with Jins Shark (1:52.3) and continued his ongoing parade to victory lane with Southwind Voltage (1:56 in Race 2), Leora May (1:55.2 in Race 3), Ibanez (1:56.3 in Race 6), Barefoot Brook (1:58.2 in Race 10) and Western Empress (1:55 in Race 13).
