Fan favourite Stormont O My sat in third through opening stations of :27.4 and :57.3, put up by Rewrite The Rules (Paul MacLean), before advancing to the lead at the 1:28.1 third quarter mark. Once in control, the six-year-old daughter of Stormont Bronze-Tanya Seelster was unstoppable, opening up eight lengths on the field of five in the stretch to score in 1:59.1. The time of the mile lowered Phoenix Hornline’s track record for aged trotting mares by two-fifths of a second.
Rewrite The Rules stayed for second and Bjs Fancy (Allan Hohner) came in third.
