A private purchase nearly two months ago is paying off handsomely for the owners of Rose Run Hooligan, who stepped to his fifth straight win on Tuesday night at Georgian Downs in the $15,000 Preferred Trot.
In rein to Simon Allard for his brother Rene - the horse's trainer and co-owner - the six-year-old Corleone-Centergy trotter came first up just past the half on Mystical Ryan (Sylvain Filion) and powered away with a strong :29.4 closing frame to trip the timer nearly three lengths to the good in 1:55.3 over Celebrity Abs (Rick Zeron) and Cinder Lane Chip (Michael Langdon).
Now owned by Rene Allard of Saint-Esprit, QC., Anne O'Keefe of Ferryland, NL. and Ferme Bureau Et Fils Senc of Saint-Leonard, QC., Rose Run Hooligan has been on a tear since entering the Allard barn with five wins and one second in six starts along with $51,500 in purses.
