Trot Insider has learned that Stonebridge Storm, a career winner of 39 races and more than $334,000, has been retired by his owners, Mark and Teri Williams
.
Stonebridge Storm, a 14-year-old son of Camluck out of the Kawartha Skipper mare W C Chandelier, took his mark of 1:54 at the age of two when he won a division of the Nassagaweya Stakes at Mohawk Racetrack.
'Stormy,' who was bred by Angie Stiller, was campaigned by trainer Bob McIntosh at ages two and three. He entered into the care of Mark and Teri, residents of Cottam, Ont., in April of 2001.
“It’s hard to believe that it was over 10 years ago that we acquired him” said Teri, Stormy's caretaker for that entire period. “I just hope that he enjoys his riding career as much as he enjoyed his racing career.”
