Chasing the title as North America's winningest horse of the season, nine-year-old trotter Tagmaster pushed his win streak to 11 on Friday afternoon at Flamboro Downs.

Tagmaster is now tied for second most wins in 2013 with seven-year-old pacer Haroun Hanover. They sit two wins behind eight-year-old pacing mare Tracys Song, who leads with 13. Both Tracys Song and Haroun Hanover are racing at Monticello Raceway in New York.

In his 11th race Friday assignment, Tagmaster and driver J.R. Plante fired to the lead from post two and carved out fractions of :28.3, :58.4 and 1:27.1 while turning back a challenge from eventual third-place finisher Heres The Magic (Billy Davis Jr.) en route to the 1:57.1 triumph. Brawn Seelster (Paul MacKenzie) finished one and a half lengths behind Tagmaster, edging out Heres The Magic to place. Tagmaster paid $2.60 to win as the heavy favourite.

Tagmaster began his win streak in early February and is now 11-for-14 on the year with over $44,000 banked in purses. The son of Tagliabue was claimed for the third time during his streak on Friday (for $15,000) and is now owned by RBH Ventures Inc. of New York.

Patrick Shepherd trained the 51-time winner for his last four scores for owner Jonah Moase of Cornwall, P.E.I.
