Medusa turned the field to stone once more, notching her second straight victory — and fourth in her last five — in Monday’s $22,500 Filly & Mare Not Listed Preferred/Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows.
Medusa was caught widest in a three-ply battle for the early lead that forced her to a demanding :26.3 opening panel. But she had no trouble holding that lead for Tony Hall, downing the rallying Spreester by 1-1/4 lengths in 1:51.2. Coffee Addict was third.
Randy Bendis trains the five-year-old daughter of Bettors Delight-Mythical, who pushed her career bankroll to $278,117, and owns with Tom Pollack.
Hall piloted four winners on the 14-race card while Dave Palone enjoyed a triple.
