For the second consecutive week, it was a pacer from the Terry Gallant Stable taking home top honours in the $13,000 Horses & Geldings Preferred at The Raceway at Western Fair District.
Last week, it was Sea Laird turning in a front-stepping score, and on Monday evening, it was his stablemate, No Plan Intended, taking the checkered flag in the featured tilt for pacers.
Tyler Borth hustled the five-year-old son of Up The Credit-Warrawee Star to the lead from Post 2 and together they led the group through fractions of :26.4, :56 and 1:24.3 before kicking home in :29.2 to win by a nose over Ideal Perception in 1:54. Heza Handy Man took home the show dough in the eight-horse affair.
No Plan Intended nabbed his first win of the season from four attempts for owners Jennifer Doyle and Danny Birt of Vernon Bridge, P.E.I. The 21-time winner recently surpassed $260,000 in career earnings.
