Linedrive Hanover continues to rack victories to his card at Woodbine Mohawk Park. The Anthony Beaton trainee registered his ninth consecutive victory when taking the $28,000 featured pace at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Saturday (April 23).
Driver James MacDonald settled the four-year-old Betting Line gelding off the wings to race sixth while East End grabbed the lead to a :27.1 first quarter. He cruised uncontested to a :56.2 half and faced pressure around the final turn when Wind Blown flushed first over – with Linedrive Hanover catching cover – to the final turn. East End held command by three-quarter sin 1:25.3 and turned away Wind Blown while MacDonald motored Linedrive Hanover off cover and slid by the pacesetter with ease to win by 1-1/4 lengths in 1:51.4 while pacing his final quarter in :25.3.
Owned by West Wins Stable, McKinlay & Fielding and Mac Nichol, Linedrive Hanover has banked $109,700 from 10 starts. He paid $2.50 to win.
It was also a successful Saturday for Jodie Cullen, who enjoyed a training triple on the 11-race card. Team Cullen scored victories with Snow Shark ($7.70), B.C. stakes champion Exotic Dragon ($57.30) and Respect Our Flag ($13).
