Kim Rinker, the former Chairperson of the Board of the United States Harness Writers Association (USHWA), has been voted unanimously by the directors of the organization to complete the term of the late Barry Lefkowitz.
After reviewing the by-laws that state the Chairperson of the Board shall be the most immediate Past President of the Association, Rinker was consulted about filling the role for the final year and she more than willingly obliged.
Following a vote of the directors, Rinker began her role as Chairperson of the Board on April 1, 2025.
“I am extremely thankful that Kim was willing to take on the final year of Barry’s term and I believe her expertise will help lead future officers in running the organization," said Carter. "While no one can replace Barry and he leaves a lasting legacy, I am excited to work with Kim on the board of officers. She has a wealth of knowledge of both the sport and the USHWA organization."
