Terror High Undefeated In Series

Terror High continued to terrorize his competition in the Schoolkids Pace at The Meadows, capturing his third straight split in a career-best 1:51.4 in Tuesday’s third leg. Dew N Doughnuts took the other $12,500 split in the series for three-year-old colts and geldings. The $20,000 (est.) series final is set for Tuesday, April 30.

After a pair of series wins on the front end, Terror High ducked Tuesday for Brett Miller before quarter-poling to the front. The 1-9 favourite held off the late thrust of the pocket-sitting Skylites Finale to prevail by 2-1/4 lengths. Medoland Jate finished third.

Del S. Miller trains Terror High, a Western Terror-Summer Artist gelding, for Chris Ryder, Max Wernick, Tamra Wernick and Robert Mondillo. It was one of three wins for Brett Miller on the 15-race card.

Dew N Doughnuts, second to Terror High in the first two legs, found that his late brush for Greg Grismore was more than enough Tuesday as he blew by Counterterror in the Lightning Lane to down that rival by a neck in 1:53. Steady Pulse earned show.

Norm Parker trains the son of Real Desire-Artbitration, who has been first or second in all eight of his starts this year, for Thomas Klosky, Jr.

In the $18,000 Preferred Trot, Big And Little triumphed in 1:53.1 to equal the track record for older geldings established in 2011 by his stablemate, Sir Caviar. Early leader Hava Kadabra was second, with the first-over TSM Photo Bugger third.

Brian Zendt piloted the five-year-old SJs Caviar-Penn Peachi Lane gelding, who extended his career bankroll to $197,980, for trainer Bill Zendt and owner Gary Saul.
