The 2012 season of harness racing at Sudbury Downs started on a high note for Yvon Lamoureux on Saturday night as the Chelmsford conditioner sent out three winning newbies from his stable.

Lamoureux, who missed the 2011 training title at the track in his debut season by just one win to France Maclean, had the one win edge during the opener.

The conditioner scored back-to-back nose and neck wins with three-year-old filly pacer Party Atthe Palace ($7.90) and nine-year-old pacing mare Aloha Christian N ($16.40) in the third and forth races. David Dowling drove both winners, who were making their debut from the Lamoureux barn. Seven-year-old pacing gelding Shiny Mach ($14.90) and Neil MacInnis later won the 10th race while also making his first start for Lamoureux.

Lamoureux's breakout 2011 season included 57 wins and $261,736 in purse earnings. His win total is at 14 for the current year.
