The trip was a pretty one for Seeyou Men in Thursday’s $10,500 Preferred Handicap for trotters at Rideau Carleton Raceway, and the end result was even prettier for the veteran.
Seeyou Men tracked from the two-hole while Cheque The Magic rolled the field through fractions of :28.1, :59 and 1:27. Seeyou Men went into attack mode late and used a :30.2 closing quarter to win by 1-3/4 lengths over Cheque The Magic in 1:57.3. Crossfit was third.
The victory was one of five on the card for Gagnon, who also celebrated a training double on the 10-race program.
His other driving victories were behind Scarlett Bigbeach (Race 1 – 2:01), Jessicas Legacy (Race 5 – 1:57), Undercover Strike (Race 8 – 1:58.2) and Sauble Delightful (Race 9 – 1:55.1).
As for Seeyou Men, it was the 39th lifetime win for the 10-year-old son of Muscle Mass-Seeyouinthecircle. He now boasts a 3-1-1 record from eight starts this season. The career winner of $394,528 is owned by Catheline Pelletier and Chantel Gravel.
