On Sunday, April 19, the annual horsemen's hockey tournament took place at the Cambridge Sports Park in Cambridge, Ont., and ‘The Danglers,’ guided by its captain and general manager, Greg Gangle, emerged as the champions.

The championship final between The Danglers and the Paralyzers, which was the 15th game of the day, got underway at 3 p.m., and Gangle’s Danglers were able to get by the Paralyzers with a 1-0 win.

The Danglers’ roster consisted of Gangle, Ryan Steward, Austin McEneny, Bentley Clark, Billy Davis Jr., Bill Wyatt, Chris Brown, Craig Barss, Dale Fritz, Francis, Dumouchel, Keith Jones, Kyle Fellows, Rocky Tangreda, Ron Van Wagoner, Tom Litt and Tyler Jones.

“It was a great day for everyone involved and great to see so many industry participants show up and support the tournament,” Gangle told Trot Insider. “We had a great group of guys playing and we were fortunate enough to come out on top. We may be starting a dynasty here! Special thanks to Jody Jamieson and Curtis MacDonald for organizing the event.”

“Greg Gangle’s ‘The Danglers’ won [the tournament] for the second year in a row, proving he is the No. 1 captain and GM of this tournament,” MacDonald told Trot Insider. “We had a great turnout and everyone had a good time.

“This year the number of players doubled from last year and we hope that even more people choose to come out and participate next year. Also, we want to thank all of the volunteers who came out to help.”
