For the second week-in-a-row at Georgian Downs, former Grand Circuit star Shanghai Phil turned in a rock solid victory as he continues down the comeback trail

Shanghai Phil, who was making his third start of the season for trainer Dustin Jones, was an easy winner for driver Sylvain Filion. The eight-year-old son of Blissfull Hall motored through panels of :27, :55.2 and 1:23.3 before finishing them off with a :28-second final frame. Rave On was second best to the 1:51.3 winner, and En Katimini rounded out the top three.

The 1:51.3 clocking was one-fifth off the 1:51.2 record he earned winning a $179,200 division of the International Stallion Stakes at The Red Mile during his rookie campaign in 2004.

Hudson Standardbred Stb Inc of Hudson and Dustin Jones Stables Inc of Melbourne, QC share ownership on the career winner of $582,122.
