Three months into the 2011 season of harness racing, Jody Jamieson and Jeff Gillis find themselves leading the nation in money banked this year.

As of April 2, Jody Jamieson of Moffat, Ont. leads all drivers with a shade over $1.6 million earned in Canada thus far. The recent winner of the Ontario Regional Driving Championship, Jamieson leads Randy Waples ($1.2 million) and Scott Zeron ($1.1 million) in the millionaires club while Doug McNair ($894,014) and Sylvain Filion ($864,050) round out the top five.

Zeron does have the edge in wins with 190, tops in Canada and second in North America behind Eric Carlson's 200. Of Carlson's wins, 104 have come in Canada which ranks him fourth in that category. Jamieson (140), McNair (136) are in a close battle for second with Scott Coulter (87) in fifth.

Fresh off a career best year in 2010 for earnings, Hillsburgh, Ont.'s Jeff Gillis leads Canadian trainers with $771,097 banked in Canada in 2011 and looks to add to that total with three finalists in Saturday night's Spring Pacing Championship at Woodbine Racetrack. Gillis leads Rene Allard ($624,903), Richard Moreau ($539,656), David Menary ($405,790) and Tony O'Sullivan ($329,956).

Allard leads all trainers with 66 wins in Canada, followed by Jamie Copley (56), Moreau (47), Ed Hensley (34) and Gillis (32).
