Three-year-olds did battle in six divisions of the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) at Dover Downs on Thursday, with colts and geldings of both gaits

in the spotlight.

Superbad Hanover, Lous Bad Yankee, Mcmurray Hanover and Cool Runnings won the $20,000 paces while Par Done My Putt and Strike N Cash took the DSBF sophomore trots.

Superbad Hanover notched his second win of the season for owner/trainer Kostas Tsanakos when he took his division in 1:52.4 for driver Ross Wolfenden. The son of Badlands Hanover-Supersonic Speed defeated Never Going Away and Golden Gladiator to make it a Winbak Farm-sired Trifecta.

Morand also steered Louie Paglierani's Lous Bad Yankee to victory in 1:55.1 for trainer Wayne Givens in another DSBF test. It was the Badlands Hanover-Yankee Vista gelding's second win of the year. Exotic Toy finished second with Hulking Bloke grabbing third.

Mcmurray Hanover won for the seventh time in his career taking his division in 1:54.4 for driver Jim Morand and trainer Eddie Dennis. The Badlands Hanover-Mud Hen gelding, who is owned by Stephanie and Brian Cassell, turned aside Enee Weenie And Me and Amazing Quest. Sons of Badlands Hanover swept the top three positions.

Julianne Watkins and J & E Stable Inc’s Cool Runnings closed with a rush for Eddie Davis, Jr. to post a 1:54.3 victory in his DSBF prelim. A roan gelding by Three Olives-Gifted Debutante, Cool Runnings has won two of his three seasonal starts. Extended Forecast and Colormeoutbadboy rounded out the top three.

Par Done My Putt, winner of last Fall's DSBF Final at Harrington, held off a stubborn challenge from Wygant Knight to notch a 2:00.4 victory in one of two $20,000 prelim trots. Windy Donaway piloted the win for Mike Gannon. The triumph came in the Par One-Aggressive Ann colt's first start of the year. Airborne Commando finished third.

Eddie Davis, Jr. began his two-win night driving Strike N Cash, by So Striking-Brents Katie Girl, to a 2:03.1 victory in a $20,000 DSBF non-wagering prelim. Super Delagate was a close-up second with Politico bringing up third.
