Crys Dream Makes European Debut

Trotting mare Crys Dream made over a million dollars racing in North America at ages two and three, winning multiple stakes and awards. For her four-year-old debut on Saturday, owner Jean-Pierre Dubois will attempt to tackle some of Europe's top talent

The 2012 Prix d'Atlantique takes place at Enghein Racecourse. Considered a Grade 1 stake in Europe, the event has attracted last year's winner Main Wise As, 2012 Prix de France winner Royal Dream - who defeated a much-heralded Ready Cash in that event - Roxane Griff, Quaker Jet, Oyonnax and Santa Rose France.

Also on Saturday, Sweden's Olympic Trot takes place at Åby Racecourse, featuring last year's winner and Elitlopp champ Brioni, Commander Crowe and U.S.-bred Wishing Stone.

Many of these horses will hope to impress Elitlopp organizers enough to warrant an invite. Thus far, Rapide Lebel and Canada's Windsong Geant are horses confirmed to compete in the 2012 event slated for May 27 at Solvalla.
