It has been announced that the parent company of the Meadows is ready to pour $25 million into the next phase of upgrading at the Pennsylvania raceway
.
According to a report by the Pittsburgh Business Times, Cannery Casino Resorts will spend the millions to tack an event/convention centre, a retail complex, and the largest hotel in the local county onto the facility by 2014.
The article states that there is no firm construction plans in place as of yet, but that the hotel, projected to be seven stories, is expected to cost $7 million and be connected with the rest of the facility via skywalk.
The report states that the facility will be branded as the Meadows Racetrack, Casino and Hotel once all is said and done.
