Harrington Raceway opened its doors for its 65th season of live harness racing Sunday to a large crowd of racing fans who were greeted by an abundance of promotions to celebrate the commemorative anniversary
.
A hat giveaway as well as 65-cent live racing programs and food concessions were enjoyed by many throughout the evening. There was also a variety of family entertainment in the grandstand. A 15-race card was contested with driver Corey Callahan registering four winners. George Dennis, Jim Morand and Ross Wolfenden each had doubles.
The featured fifth race for $20,000 claiming pacers was won by Legacy Racing, M. Adams and Howard Paisley’s Funky Cole Medina ($5, Morand) who set all the fractions in his two-length win over Roman Conqueror N and Oreti Beach N in 1:54.3.
