After notching one win for the entire decade of his 70s, driver Tony Dandeo has started his 80s off the right foot.

The 80-year-old Dandeo drove the winner of the 10th race at Freehold Raceway on Friday. Driving Mickey Blu for trainer Robert Bresnahan Jr., Dandeo pulled first up at the half, took the front and never looked back. The duo hit the wire first in 1:57.4 for the seven-year-old pacer's 16th lifetime win.

Dandeo added another win to his driving career, which stands at 233 wins with $783,758 in purse earnings. His last win came in 2008, with only six wins (in 182 drives) since 2000.
