Six Straight For Jolts Virtue

Jolts Virtue kept an impressive winning streak alive for co-owner/trainer John MacMillan thanks to her 1:54 score at Kawartha Downs on Thursday

. It was the sixth consecutive tally for the three-year-old son of Village Jolt-Arts Virtue, who is co-owned by Chelsea Knapp of Prescott, ON.

With Gord Brown between the wheels, Jolts Virtue shot to immediate command from post four and laid down panels of :28.1, :57.1 and 1:25.3 before using a :28.2 final quarter for good measure. The margin of victory was 4-3/4 lengths over Rhythmnbluesnroses. Thebestofjoel was third.

After starting the season 0-for-3, Jolts Virtue now boasts a 6-1-0 record in nine starts in 2011. The career winner of $29,400 started his winning streak with back-to-back triumphs at Rideau Carleton Raceway followed by consecutive tallies at Kawartha Downs. He then shipped off to Woodbine and posted a 1:55 score prior to nabbing a new lifetime mark of 1:54 in Thursday’s assignment.
