Yannick Gingras gave Omen Hanover a perfect two-hole trip en route to emerging the winner of the $28,000 Open Handicap Pace for fillies and mares

on Wednesday at Pocono Downs.

Leaving from Post 1, Omen Hanover and Gingras followed Flirtiscape (George Napolitano, Jr.) through fractions of :27.3, :56.3 and 1:24.1 before tipping out and outpacing the 3/5 favourite to the wire. The Nick Surick trainee stopped the timer in 1:52.1. Personal Ad (Jim Morrill Jr.) shot the passing lane to nip Flirtiscape for the second spot.

KDM Stables Corp of Farmingdale, NY owns the six-year-old Western Hanover mare, who won for the second time in 2010. The 21-time winner has banked more than $521,000 to date.
