A three-year-old Camluck gelding, Petey Blue Eyes dominated right from the get-go leaving from Post 3 with Ed Green in tow. The overwhelming 1-9 favourite carved out splits of :29, :59.1 and 1:28.4 before pulling away by three and three-quarter lengths to win.
Contemporary Art (Doug McNair) and Bo Grayson (Michael Sumner) rounded out the triactor.
Cain and John Vangastel of Norwich, Ont. share ownership of the bay, who has put together a record of six wins and one second in seven outings this year.
On Demand, a five-year-old Mr Lavec trotter driven by Doug McNair, made it four in a row when he won the fifth race in a career-best 2:02 for trainer Terry Oenema and owner Rachel Oenema of Burgessville, Ont.
