Via a voice vote this morning, the Massachusetts House pushed along legislation which looks to legalize two casinos locations in the state and allow slots-style gaming at four state racetrack locations

.

An article on bostonherald.com explains that the voice vote was followed by a pair of votes which were against sending the piece of legislation back to a committee for more examination and public hearing.

The bill, announced last week, allows up to 750 slot machines at the state’s two horse tracks and two former dog tracks. House Speaker Robert DeLeo is the sponsor of the bill.

Three consecutive days have reportedly been set aside, if needed, to iron out issues relating to the bill.
