The Alberta Standardbred Horse Association (ASHA) has announced that the 2017 Meridian Farms Name That Foal contest, starring a filly by Mystician out of Hare Canada, is now open for entries.
Prizes will be awarded for Best Name, Best Letter (explaining why the participant picked the name for the foal), and Best Art (a picture drawn by the participant) in two age groups for eight-year-olds & under and nine to 16-year-olds.
The contest rules state that the name must be a maximum of 18 letters (including spaces), may contain only letters (no numbers, graphics, etc.), and winners from each category will receive a prize. Prizes include iPod devices and iTunes gift cards.
All entries must be received in the ASHA office via mail, fax or email by April 28, 2017.
