New York City Off-Track Betting, scheduled to close yesterday, was given a week’s fresh lease on life
in New York.
Both the New York Daily News and the New York Post reported the events over the course of the last couple of days
According to the New York Post report, the NYC OTB Board warned that the layoffs were temporarily suspended and that the shutdown was postponed until no later than April 18. The report also stated that NYC OTB officials sounded optimistic that a deal would be reached to keep operations open prior to the April 18 deadline.
