Canadian punters have probably noticed some new tracks available for betting through Horseplayer Interactive. The addition of thoroughbred racing from the United Kingdom and Ireland is the result of a recent deal between GBI Racing and the Woodbine Entertainment Group

"We're excited about this partnership with GBI Racing,” said Peter Spoar, WEG's senior manager of wagering operations. “Interest in British and Irish racing is high in Canada and we wanted to give the country's horse racing fans the opportunity to watch and wager on some of the finest racing in the world. We expect an enthusiastic response from our customers.”

An article on gamingintelligence.com explains that WEG's Horse Player Interactive TV channel will be regularly airing the UK and Irish races.
