The Prince County Horsemen’s Club doled out its hardware for the 2011 season this past Saturday night. The evening saw Marc Campbell, 27, named Horseman of the Year, thus making him the youngest-ever recipient of the award
.
As an article by The Guardian explains, 17-year-old MacKenzie MacInnis was named Horsewoman of the Year.
“I see a lot of younger guys that are into it (harness racing),” Campbell was quoted as saying. “Mitch Tierney cleaned up tonight too, and he’s a younger guy. I’m younger, MacKenzie’s younger, and that’s what the game needs right now.”
