After rallying from just off the lead to take home top prize in Flamboro Downs’ $15,000 Preferred Trot on March 28, Indiana Hall shipped into London on Tuesday and front-stepped to a win in that track’s weekly feature for trotters
.
Indiana Hall, who took home Older Trotting Horse of the Year honours at The Raceway at the Western Fair District in 2011, led seven foes through fractions of :28.3, :59.1 and 1:29.1 before using a :30.1 final frame to seal the deal. He was three-quarters of a length better than runner-up Traverse Seelster. Youlneverwalkalone tagged along to finish third.
Trevor Henry, who enjoyed a three-win performance on the 12-race card, mapped out the winning trip for the Ian Downey trainee. The nine-year-old son of Striking Sahbra-Inverlochy improved this year’s record to 4-1-0 in 10 attempts while boosting his seasonal bankroll to $31,000. The 48-time winner, who is owned by S S G Stables of North Boston, NY, has stashed away in excess of $743,000.
In the spirit of Friday the 13th, the Raceway at The Western Fair District thought it appropriate to card a 13-race program this Friday evening in London with first post at 7:05 p.m.
It will be another Free FM Friday at The Raceway with the crew from 98.1 Free FM on hand throughout the evening, broadcasting live and giving out 13 special prize packs during the night.
