Grinding first over, its Huw You Know overpowered his competition in the $11,500 Preferred 2 Trot at Flamboro Downs on Sunday, April 1, winning by a length and a quarter in 1:57.

Its Huw You Know sat fourth through the :28 opening quarter, five lengths off leader Dragin The Wagon. Timed in :58, Its Huw You Know continued to gradually gain ground on the leader, drawing within a nose of control at three-quarterse in 1:27.1 before taking a narrow lead around the final turn. Its Huw You Know turned for home a half length in front, expanding his margin to the line, with Dragin The Wagon finishing second and Noble Legend third.

A six-year-old gelding by Holiday Road out of the American Winner mare Lukes Elvira, Its Huw You Know, owned by trainer Ashleigh Hensley along with Ed Hensley, won his second race in 10 starts this season and his 15th in 102 overall, earning $248,285. He paid $14.20 to win.

Off a pocket trip, rail-riding Arrived Late shot through the passing lane to post a 28-1 upset in the $8,500 Preferred 3 Pace, winning by a head over odds-on favourite In Spades in 1:53.4.

Leaving from the rail, Arrived Late secured the pocket while Lets Wait And See, from post eight, launched to the lead. After a quarter in :27.3 and a half in :56.3, Lets Wait And See underwent pressure from In Spades, pulling first over from third as Pan Street Usa stalled uncovered.

Arrived Late rushed into contention in the final strides, edging to victory over In Spades, while Lets Wait And See finished third.
