R Journey Together, Envious Hanover, and Stucklikeglue captured divisions of the Bobby Weiss Series during Tuesday evening’s card of racing at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.
R Journey Together captured her $15,000 division in 1:53.3 for driver George Napolitano, Jr. and trainer Lou Pena. The four-year-old daughter of Western Ideal-R Xample led the field through fractions of :27, :57.2 and 1:25.2 before using a :28.1 closing quarter to win by 1-1/2 lengths over Ravishnmasterpiece. Third prize was earned by Fashion Fluzzy.
A Piece Of The Action LLC of Culver City, California owns the six-time winner, who surpassed $33,000 in lifetime earnings with the victory. She’s now 2-for-2 in the series.
Envious Hanover also doubled up in the series thanks to her front-stepping triumph in 1:52.2 in the second division. Matt Kakaley clicked with the odds-on favourite, who held on to win by a half-length margin over Prima Dragon in 1:52.2. Offintothesunset was third.
The four-year-old daughter of Western Ideal-Eicarls Olvidar is trained by Ron Burke for Burke Racing Stable LLC, Weaver Bruscemi LLC, Frank Baldachino and Larry Karr. It was third win of the season for the career winner of $63,469.
Kakaley and Burke also clicked in the final division with Stucklikeglue. The three-year-old daughter of Dragon Again-Ruth Plumsted whacked out fractions of :27.3, :57.1 and 1:24 before stepping home in :28.4 to win by 1-3/4 lengths over Carlina Hanover in 1:52.4. A And Gs Design rounded out the Triactor ticket.
Burke Racing Stable LLC, Weaver Bruscemi LLC, Tracy Hendler and Frank Baldachino own the four-time winner who is now 2-for-2 this season. She went over $70,000 in lifetime earnings with the win.
