Winning Mister Continues Perfect Season

The streaking Winning Mister overcame an outside post position to deliver on his pari-mutuel promise in the $35,000 Open Handicap Trot and help driver George Napolitano Jr. to six wins during Harrah's Chester's 14-race meet opening card Friday

Fresh off four straight wins at The Meadows, Winning Mister fired to the lead from Post 8 for Napolitano and never looked back as he trotted past fractions of :27.2, :56.4, and 1:24.2 en route to a two and three-quarter length victory in 1:53.3. Equity (Matt Kakaley) and Anders Bluestone (Ron Pierce) followed along in second and third.

Winning Mister paid $3.40 to win as the favourite. He is now five-for-five in his six-year-old season for trainer Richard Gillock and owner-breeder Robert Key of Leechburg, Pennsylvania. Lifetime, the son of Angus Hall and Winning Missbrenda has won 29 races while banking $873,770.

The victory was one of six on the card for Napolitano. He also clicked with Four Starz Q ($2.80) and General Montgomery ($4.20) for trainer Lou Pena, Tylers Rendevous ($9.80) and Sand Summerfield ($32) for Jason Robinson, and Chartreuse Hanover ($17) for Scott Di Domenico.
