The winning streak is now three-in-a-row and counting for Swan In Motion thanks to Tuesday’s score in the $26,000 Open Handicap for trotters at Dover Downs.
With Art Stafford, Jr. at the controls, Swan In Motion left sharply from Post 7 and ducked into an early pocket behind Northern Express. That one brushed to the top from Post 8 and led the field through fractions of :27, :56.1 and 1:25.
Swan In Motion got into gear late and used a :28.3 closing panel to post the win by three-quarters of a length over Northern Express in 1:54. Race favourite Quiksilvr Bluechip tagged along to take home the show dough in the nine-horse affair.
Dylan Davis trains the five-year-old son of Swan For All-Keystone Sadie for owner Howard Taylor of Philadelphia, PA. The 18-time winner has constructed a 3-0-0 record from four trips to the track this season. To date, he’s stashed away more than $520,000 in earnings.
