The betting public was all over Racemup in his quest to repeat Tuesday at The Raceway at Western Fair District, and the gelding didn’t disappoint for the tandem of driver Travis Henry and trainer Victor Puddy. Henry hustled Racemup, who was sent off as the 3-2 choice, to the lead from Post 2 and together the led the group through fractions of :27.2, :57.2 and 1:26.1 before using a :29.1 final frame to win by a half-length margin over Icy Blue Scooter in 1:55.2. Third in the $10,000 Preferred 3 for horse and gelding pacers was Homey Joe.
The seven-year-old son of Whatayasay-Logicallyinclined, who is owned by Gordon McDonald and Christopher Boland, owns a 3-1-2 record from nine trips to the track this season. The 29-time winner pushed his lifetime earnings over $290,000 with the win.
