Northlands Park’s leading trainer and driver Gerry Hudon continued to put up strong numbers on Friday night, sending out three winners on the 10-race program
.
Hudon opened the card on winning note, sweeping the daily double with wire-to-wire winner Metro Jiff in a career-best 1:56 clocking and the pocket-sitting Kiawah in 1:54.2. The resident of Edmonton, Alta. scored the hat trick with Shes A Jewel, who earned her fifth straight victory in 1:55.1.
Hudon leads in the trainer’s standings with 25 wins, 14 more than his nearest rival Kelly Hoerdt. On the driving side, Hudon also maintains a 14-win lead over Brent Grundy with his 28 victories.
