After his three-race win streak came to an end in last week’s top pacing event at Northlands Park, Armbro Dublin bounced back on Saturday and overcame his outside post position to take home the lion’s share of the $12,000 purse

The seven-year-old son of Cambest-Lilmisscantdowrong blasted off the wings of the gate and established the lead during a :28-second opening quarter. Armbro Dublin and driver Bill Tainsh, Jr. showed the way to the half in :57.1 as Timberline Court (Gerry Hudon) tipped to the outside from third with Armbro Dublin’s entrymate, Wrangler Hitech (Keith Clark), and last week's victor, Neal Diamonique (Brandon Campbell), following.

Timberline Court soon matched strides with the leader and pushed ahead past three-quarters in 1:24.3, but Armbro Dublin fought back down the lane and held off Wranlger Hitech by a neck to win in 1:54. Timberline Court and Neal Diamonique finished right there in third and fourth.

Armbro Dublin paid $3.50 to win as part of the favoured entry. He has won four of his nine starts this year and $27,540 for trainer Keith Clark and owner Robert Jones of Slave Lake, AB. The career winner of 43 races sports a bankroll of $488,652.
