Sharla Daley, operations administrator for the National Capital Region Harness Horse Association, has provided Trot Insider with an update on the status of Russ Moulton
, NCRHHA's executive director.
Moulton was injured February 19 at Rideau Carleton Raceway when a horse he was walking to the backstretch paddock slipped on ice and fell. Moulton was pinned under the horse and suffered a broken leg.
"Russ is at home and just received his second cast which is hinged at the knee allowing him to move his leg a little," Daley told Trot Insider.
"The doctors will have to wait and see how well the leg heals in the next six weeks. There was talk of a possible knee transplant, but that will be determined after the healing is complete."
Please join Standardbred Canada in wishing Moulton a speedy and complete recovery.
