It has been reported that on Thursday, March 3, six standardbreds went on the lam, but were eventually corralled and returned to their cushy homes at Puf and Pas

Stable in Mechanic Falls, Maine.

According to an article by the Sun Journal, the standardbreds got a gate in their paddock open. Three of the six stayed within a few hundred yards of their home, but the other three proceeded to gallop down a local road before being detained by local residents.

The report states that Elva Harrison, wife of Mechanic Falls Police Department Lt. Paul Harrison, received a call from her significant other in regard to the matter. She ended up driving to the scene and helped walk one of the standardbreds roughly one and a quarter miles back home.

The horses were returned to Puf and Pas roughly one hour after the first call came into police.
