Offered nightly on races six through nine, the Pick 4 features a low 15 percent takeout and nightly guaranteed pools [$25,000 Wednesday - Friday and $50,000 Saturday]. The Thursday night Pick 4 begins with the second leg of the Night Styles Series, with Teenage Paige the one to beat as she bids for her fourth win in five starts. Post time is 7 p.m. on Thursday.
The last Pick 4 carryover at the Meadowlands was $32,000 on Wednesday, January 14, 2009, which resulted in a $159,000 pool on the following racing day, Thursday, January 15. The Pick 4 pool has averaged more than $75,000 per night in 2009 with an average payoff of more than $3,900. The highest payoff of the meet was $38,000 on February 21.
The record Pick 4 payoff is $53,196.60, set on January 24, 2008. One winner took down the $63,200 pool that night.
