Larjon Legacy ($3.60) kept her record perfect at Buffalo Raceway this season as she rolled to another impressive front-stepping victory, this time taking the featured $15,000 Open Pace for the fillies and mares on Wednesday night (March 30).

It was Larjon Legacy's fourth consecutive win in as many tries in 2022 as she easily topped Valentine Delight by 3-1/4 lengths in 1:57.2 over the "fast" track. All of her victories have come in blowout fashion with her narrowest win a 2-1/4 length score on March 16.

There was a mild battle for the lead as Larjon Legacy, Valentine Delight and New Number Who Dis were all involved. But before the field hit the opening marker, Larjon Legacy was in control and there was no stopping her from there.

With fractions of :29.1, :58.3 and 1:28.2, Larjon Legacy found no takers down the stretch and easily strolled to the win. Valentine Delight had to settle for second with Pretty Blue Angel finishing in third.

Owned by Rocco Stebbins and trained by Joe Skowyra, Larjon Legacy (Mister Big-Saramotion) is a seven-year-old mare who has put $22,200 in the bank this year and $140,987 in her career. Drew Monti sat in the bike.

The undercard to the main event was the $11,300 pace for the distaff pacers and the heavily favoured Sapphire Love Chip ($3.00) didn't disappoint her faithful backers by scoring a neck victory over Odds On Dead Heat in 1:59.2.

Scoring from post 3, Sapphire Love Chip managed to get to the top early and was able to set fractions of :29.3, 1:00.2 and 1:30.3. Down the lane, Sapphire Love Chip held off a mild bid from the pocket sitting Odds On Dead Heat to register the victory. She Can Party rallied late for the show position.

Owned by the Crazy Parrot Farm LLC, Sapphire Love Chip (Hypnotic Blue Chip-So Long My Love) is a five-year-old mare who has now won three times in eight tries in 2022. The victory upped her seasonal earnings to $19,104 and $64,470 lifetime. Jim Morrill Jr. drove the winner.

Racing will continue on Saturday evening (April 2) with an 11-race program set for 6 p.m. (EDT).
