A great crowd turned out for the Saturday evening program at Kawartha Downs and many fans said that driver Aaron Byron was like butter – because he was on a roll.
The Cambridge, ON reinsman registered six victories on the 12-race card including a pair of wins with horses trained by Rene Allard. They clicked with The Machster (1:54.3) and The Principle (1:59.4), and Byron then added wins with Keystone Christa (1:57), Tendtowin (1:56.4), B B Smith (1:56.4) and Woodrock Nation (1:55.4).
“A little celebration might be in order,” said Byron when asked about how he’d savour the moment. “Either a trip to the Ranch or a kitchen party could be in order.”
Byron, who recently went over $8 million in lifetime earnings, has racked up 58 wins this season and 1,048 in his career.
