Meadows drivers Mike Wilder and Jeremy Indof celebrated Dr. Seuss’s birthday by volunteering to go to a local elementary school and read to fourth and fifth graders as part of the Reading Across America program on Friday (March 2).
Wilder and Indof each selected a book, and once they read a story to the group, the children were able to ask all kinds of questions about harness racing and get autographs from the two local drivers.
“The kids were a great audience, they asked a lot of great questions and were very interested in harness racing,” said Indof.

This was Indof’s first year participating in Reading Across America and Wilder’s third year.

The event was supported by the Meadows Standardbred Owners Association (MSOA) in conjunction with Trinity North Elementary School.
