A pair of harness racing radio shows have sent out previews of their upcoming episodes.
This Friday (March 31) at 11:00 a.m. (EST), a ‘harness racing task force’ will be having a roundtable discussion regarding the future of harness racing. There will also be a question and answer segment at the end of the show that will be open to the general public. This will give the general public an opportunity to call in to the show or email their questions and thoughts to the participants.
The roundtable discussion will be broadcast on the Les Salzman Hubrail Insider Show with Salzman as the moderator. The task force participants are Jason Settlemoir (CEO of the Meadowlands Racetrack), Bob Marks (hall of fame journalist and former GM of Perretti Farms), Bob Pandolfo (professional handicapper and DRF, USTA, and American Turf Monthly journalist), Fred Hudson (harness racing promoter and co-author of the Roosevelt Raceway book) and Andy Berg (harness racing fan and gambler).
Call into the show and ask questions (888-627-6008) or email questions to Salzman at [email protected].

Also, ‘Post Time with Mike and Mike’ presented by BetAmerica is proud to announce the guest line up for its Thursday, March 30 show which will get underway at 1 p.m.
The Meadowland Racetrack's Bob 'Hollywood' Heyden will join the program to reflect on his career. Known as the stat master of harness racing, Heyden will talk about the method behind his madness. Heyden will also reflect on the life of longtime Meadowlands Announcer Sam McKee, who passed away earlier this month.
The Daily Racing Form's Jay Bergman will also be a part of the show. Bergman's most recent article was on beard trainers, and he will talk about what has turned into a major problem for the sport. The head of the Standardbred Owners Association of New York, Joe Faraldo, was on the show last week talking about the same subject.
The Maryland Horse Council's Steuart Pittman will join the program. Pittman will explain the council's Go Pro inititiative, which looks to strengthen the Maryland Horse Industry during a time in which racing is turning the corner for the better in the state.
Pompano Park Director of Racing Operations Gabe Prewitt will stop by to continue the weekly Pompano Park segment. Prewitt will talk about the past week at ‘Harness Racing's Winter Capital,’ and look forward to the week ahead.
