Harness Racing South Australia has announced that, in collaboration with Harness Racing Victoria, it has further strengthened its approach to integrity-related
matters.
On Saturday, March 27 at Globe Derby Park, HRV stewards and veterinary officials worked with HRSA officials to collect an unprecedented number of swab samples from horses engaged at the meeting which was headlined by the $50,000 SA Graduate Final. Across the night almost 80 samples were collected from runners either before and/or after the race.
In supporting the collaboration with HRSA, its general manager, David Aldred, and HRSA Chairman of Stewards Stephen Mulcay, HRV General Manager – Racing & Integrity Services Brant Dunshea jointed issued the following statement:
“Integrity is important to all stake holders and HRV welcome any opportunity to work collaboratively with other jurisdictions on projects such as that which was undertaken last Saturday night. Along with HRV, HRSA are committed to maintaining the highest level of integrity and as an organization we strongly support their efforts – it is likely that this is only the first of many collaborations into the future.”
