The first winner came in Race 2 with Abovemypaygrade ($2.30), who wasted no time powering to the front and never looking back. The three-year-old Sunshine Beach-Appeals To Me gelding cruised to the wire in 1:56.4, winning by 3-1/4 lengths. Co-owned by Travis Cullen and Ronald Cullen, the promising pacer now boasts four career wins, with $22,185 in seasonal earnings and $32,335 in lifetime earnings.
Next up in Race 3, Respect Our Flag ($3.10) delivered a dominant wire-to-wire performance in 1:55, holding off his rivals by three lengths. The nine-year-old Roll With Joe-Gyrations gelding is owned by Paul Sanders, Ronald Cullen, and Travis Cullen. The veteran pacer notched his 43rd career victory, boosting his seasonal earnings to $10,000 and lifetime bankroll to $547,019.
The trifecta concluded in the fifth race with Phone Nine One One ($3). After getting away sixth off the gate, and sitting third over until just after the half, the pacer pulled three wide and dominantly powered to the front and never stopped, winning in 1:55.2 by 2-1/4 lengths. The four-year-old Custard The Dragon-Phone Terror gelding is owned by Paul Sanders and Travis Cullen. This is career win number six for Phone Nine One One, who now has seasonal earnings of $16,844 and lifetime earnings of $86,536.
Jodie Cullen, the leading trainer at Flamboro Downs, continued to extend her advantage in the standings, sitting atop the leaderboard with 29 wins and $163,715 in earnings to date. Nationally, her seasonal earnings have increased to $748,404, ranking her number one in Canada so far this year.
